Isabella's bed is the story of Anna and Luis and their grandmother, Isabella. They love to sleep in Isabella's bed whenever they go to their grandmother's house and go through the chest at the edge of the bed. They have so many questions but their grandmother is reluctant to answer. Through a song that she sings to them they find out that she is Isabella and the things in the trunk are hers!

This is a cute story about family history and sharing old memories. I think after reading this kids will have questions about their family history and want to learn more about where they come from. The illustrations aren't super bold but more subtle in portraying the kids dreaming about their grandmother's journey. They ask their grandmother if she is Isabella and she tells them she is, she then goes through the memories in the trunk with them!
