A straight guy gives gay hookup tips to a virgin. What could go wrong? When I first met Whit, I couldn't get away from him fast enough. He's a hockey player, and I hate everything to do with the sport that broke my heart. But I can't help feeling sorry for the guy. He's newly out and desperate to meet someone, but his eagerness seems to scare potential hook-ups away. Agreeing to be his wingman should've been simple. Watching him flirt with other guys made things complicated. Whit challenges me in every aspect of my life, from my hatred of hockey to the new questions I'm asking myself. Like why a straight man suddenly can't stop thinking about kissing another guy. I think the answer lies somewhere on Whit's lips ... Contains mature themes.… (mehr)

Another great hockey based mm romance from Eden with the characters n settings of the Vino and Veritas bar and bookstore.

Whit and Rainn, virgin and wingman. The boys story is well written with laughter, drama, realisations, tears, fears and love. Oh and the title is certainly true, these two are Headstrong.

Loving the books I've read in the world of true north spin off series so far.

This is book 3 in this multi author series, it could be read as a standalone but def better read as part of the series ( )

This managed to be cute without veering into being cutesy. It had a fair bit of tenderness, and humor, but didn’t feel generic or sugary. Small town and Gay4U tropes, with a bit of a sports theme as well, but it didn’t really bother with all the play-by-plays. Kind of a slow burn, but with a fair amount of steam once it got going. It’s a little on the light/tame side for me in contemporary romance, but I did end up feeling fondly toward the characters, and chuckled several times, so overall that was fine. ( )

Narrators: Tim Paige and Iggy Toma.

19 novels in the Vino and Veritas series, each one written by a different romance author and so far they have been top notch.

Looks like I've got many more gorgeous romances to look forward to originating at the cafe, bookshop and bar, known as Vino and Veritas.

I don't think I can add anything to what Library Thingers have said below - that Rainn is the wingman to Whit as he searches for a hookup - there's great banter, and a lovesick crush - and a disappointed injured hockey player finds an antidote to loneliness, and a beautiful romance.

This novel strikes a very satisfying emotional chord. I listened to much of it while I was walking in my neighbourhood. It's full of trees so the brush with nature is restorative, but the feel good nature of this story added to the experience.

An extra half point for Rainn's name - how perfectly it suited him. I've read a string of novels lately where the author has got the names of the MCs just right - it's an uncanny talent! ( )

I was so happy to see something about my CU boys in this one, Eden never stops amazing me. I wasn't too invested on the couple, but the way Finley construct the romance just makes so much sense, seems natural. ( )

Loved this one and the perfect flow between these two. Whit was adorable and exactly right for grumpy Rainn; it was great to see how they fell for each other and how far Rainn went on his journey. ( )
