"Josh was a squirrel without a squirrel family, so other families tried to take him in. Between the pelicans, the leopards, the otters, the snakes, and many more, no one seemed to want a squirrel like him. Josh didn't want a family, either. He did everything he could to scare those families away first, but the elephants weren't like other families. The elephants were very large and very patient, and they wanted Josh to be part of their family today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. When Josh takes his plans a little too far and gets into a sticky situation, will Josh finally be convinced that this family is his?"--Amazon.… (mehr)

This book would be a great book for primary or intermediate readers
This book displays foster care in a tangible way that provides children to relate and grow in their perspective
This would be a great read aloud book as it explains heavier topics using animals instead of humans, making the information and experiences more palatable for younger students. This would be a great book to pair with a discussion to broaden students' perspectives on different experiences.

This book tells the story of an animal having a new foster family. The animal faces many challenges with its new family, but they eventually learn to trust its family as they look out for the animal. This was a very heartfelt read, and could be used with children to educate them about foster care.

This picture book would be a powerful read aloud in a Kindergarten classroom as a way to teach students about foster care in a way they can understand. This book is illustrated in a way students can understand in a kid friendly way using animals.

This book tells the story of a small animal going through the foster care system, facing challenges but finding a loving home in the end. It's great for primary and intermediate students, offering comfort and understanding for those in similar situations.

This is a great book for primary and intermediate children needing the comfort if they are in foster care. I really loved this book and I thought it was very informational about a child going through he foster care system.
