RTC ( ) One single kindergarten teacher wanting to honor the request of her recently deceased best-friend. One grieving brother who believes that he is the best person to raise his nephew. One precious little boy who loves them both. Is there a compromise or will hearts be broken? The Soldier's Unexpected Family has all of the feels that I've come to expect from Tanya Agler. She completely captures the fear, grief, and confusion of three people who've each lost someone special and she perfectly portrays the growing attraction between Natalie and Aidan. And then there's the setting! Who wouldn't want to live in a place where people know and care for each other? Aidan's choice to take Danny away grows harder and harder as he interacts with the residents of Hollydale. If you enjoy contemporary stories with intriguing characters and sweet romance, you will certainly want to read The Soldier's Unexpected Family! I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author through Prism book tours. These are my own thoughts. When regimented Aiden Murphy arrives in Hollydale, the last thing he expects is to be charmed by the town of Hollydale and one free-spirited kindergarten teacher. In The Soldier’s Unexpected Family, Tanya Agler returns readers to the charming North Carolina town with residents with big hearts. I loved visiting Hollydale again and reading about characters from Agler’s previous books as well as meeting some new residents. And the way the town reels Aiden in is both sweet and a bit funny. Little Danny wrapped me around his wounded heart from the opening pages and the sizzle (the good kind) between Natalie and Aiden sparks from the beginning. While the timeline of the overall story is short, the progression of the romance is well paced, and there is a ton happening within these pages. Family, friends, community, and romance come together in what (for me) is Agler’s best book yet. Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
