The Real World Mats CenterSOLUTIONS(R) for the Common Core for kindergarten combines a variety of activities to allow students to have different types of authentic learning experiences and skill practice in both math and reading. Each double-sided mat provides students with colorful, thought provoking, real-life images and two sets of questions to answer using the images. Each activity also includes two sets of generic questions to allow students to practice the same skills on a similar real-life scenario as well as build connections that are critical to developing their ability to learn new skills. For example, if the activity focuses on a sales flyer, students can pull a sales ad from a local paper and practice the same skills.
