Cartech is definitely the go-to company as the expert on vehicles. This is a beautiful instruction manual with amazing color photographs and easy to follow directions. Definitely recommend. ( )

What can I say. SA books in my opinion are absolutely the best and this is another prime example, great info and COLOR photos. This is a good go-to for the 1955-1959 Chevy truck crowd that wants to fix up that old Chevy in the driveway, or just restoration ideas for a project you're looking at picking up.

This is another excellent book from CarTech. This is a great guide to restoration with many color photos. Besides the basic restoration, this book covers installing seat belts and upgrading the brakes and suspension. ( )

Chevrolet Trucks 1955 - 1959 (2021) by Dennis W. Parks. Here is another great book on how to build or modify your ride. The Chevy trucks from the late 50’s form a great foundation for restoring a classic ride. The look, the sturdiness of design, and the vast array of modifications available make this a favorite of restorers across the country.
What I like about this series of books, or instruction manuals, is that they are all inclusive. Everything you might want to know before getting it on is in one compact, well written book with clear concise instructions for the step-by-step completion of your project. Mr. Parks takes you from the thinking portion of the project, into the planing and on into the actual work (or fun) itself.
Chassis and body, through the interior to the exterior, it is all here. Have problems with wiring? Not to worry, it’s covered. Painting is not my strongest attribute, but with the helpful instructions and tons of photos, my work is progressing nicely.
And while this is designed for the Chevy truck, there are so many lessons that can be carried over to other projects that it is well worth the cost.
Once again Car Tech has managed to bring out a wonderful guide to working on you vehicle that is clear in concept, precise in interactions, and chock full of informative photos that take so much of the guess work out of the way. ( )
