I didn’t love the last two anthologies (I don’t love sci-fi/robots and Silver was uneven), but Sordid Past was a lot of fun. The stories are different lengths, which is not all that common in anthologies, but I’m glad since the creators were able to fit the length to their plot. This is very queer (are there any purely straight stories?) and highly sapphic. I especially liked the variety of depictions of historical trans and non-binary characters. It’s not all tragedy, folks. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

My favorite piece was "Conversion" by Otava Heikkilä about a religious mission gone awry. I wouldn't mind seeing the stories by Lucy Bellwood, Rowan Woodcock and E. K. Weaver fleshed out into fuller works, though I'll happily check out anything they choose to produce in the future. ( )
