A very good biopic of Baum's life and work. Some omissions of his story, of course, and some interpretations that might be mootable, but the visualsof his stage plays, and footage of his cinemascopes and movies, were very interesting.
Also a good over-view of the conditions in South Dakota, Kansas, and other locations where the Baum family lived.
Spends a lot of time on the influence of his mother-in-law, Matilda Joslyn Gage (and not much on his wife, Maud, except at the beginning and the end). ( )
