Utilizing the author's forty-four years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist; expanding on his first book, "Suffering From Illusion: The Secret Victory of Self-Defeat;" and calling upon the perennial paradoxical wisdom of disparate sages; this book unveils a simple method for attaining a measure of paradoxical wisdom, in order to integrate the inner, conflicted aspects of our "inner congress." Finding our way to a limited degree of centered wisdom is no mere and interesting exercise. It's the crucial pathway towards becoming our most profound and integrated self, which harmonizes with the uncanny and nearly ineffable paradox of the universe. Such a profound awakening or enlightenment is free, but it comes at the cost of all our illusions about ourselves and reality. Few persevere with such an illuminating, healing, and painful quest, which reveals that loss is gain. Along the way, we must use adversity as opportunity; decipher the enigmas of the "cosmic con-game;" forgive our inherent folly; relinquish our self-deceptive linear logic and illusions; yield to the larger paradoxical realities of the universe; and embrace the hidden harmony with opposing inner and outer aspects. Our most ultimate task is to realize what kind of fools we are, so that we can enter into a measure of inner serenity, insight, and "unreasonable happiness;" that is, happiness beyond normal and "split-up" reason. This book provides a central mantra-mnemonic: "B.E. K.I.N.D." It provides us with a seven-fold path towards paradoxical wisdom: balance, embracing acceptance, kindness, insight, present moment/eternity, deflation-humility, and therapeutic disillusionment. Such profound, yet attainable wisdom can even facilitate that most challenging and fulfilling of all human endeavors: love. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
