The plot/character/circumstances of this book seemed somewhat lacking here, at least in comparison. ( ) Sequel to "The Man Who Never Missed" and it is, if anything, even sillier. These books were published as testosterone-fueled entertainment in the 1980s, and deliver about what you'd expect. Both are full of Mary Janes, performing perfectly at everything they attempt. They mostly go in for the martial arts, but they manage politics, manipulation, making money, and computer hacking perfectly, too. For the time period, having a black woman as the main character who is at least bi-sexual was gutsy. Perry pulls it off by not making this book about race, though her gender and her past strongly effect how she develops as a character. I can remember the first read and that I was not really surprised at Pen's identity which I felt was a weak point of the book. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
