Could have been a 3 if it stuck the landing. Instead delivered a rushed deus ex machina resolution that included unbelievably quick character changes. ( )

I loved this book and looking forward to reading the rest of this series. The spice was spot on and the characters were great. I enjoyed reading Ava and Alex coming together. There is definitely something to be said for the morally grey men and Ana Huang wrote a terrific one in Alex Volkov! ( )

Although the plot fell short for me, the MMC made up for it in the end.

The backstory was lacking, leaving much to be desired. However, the conclusion
gave me the feels. Initially thought to rate 2.5, however the ending ultimately tipped the scale to a 3. (I liked it. Didnt hate it, didn't love it.. just liked it) ( )
