Alien invaders time travel to a point when Earth is more vulnerable.

It's not in any way remarkable, but it's entertaining without any major problems or low points, which is pretty good for a later Star Trek movie.

The Next Generation isn't my show or crew. That would be the Original Series with Kirk and Spock and company. So it was a bit of a wrench when the transition was made with Generations: especially since it was awful. I liked this outing with the crew of the Enterprise-D a lot though. Not as much as say, Wrath of Khan but as much as, for instance, The Voyage Home or The Search for Spock, and that easily puts it among my favorite Trek films. It has its share of detractors. There's a hilarious 4-part takedown of it on YouTube by the man who shredded Revenge of the Sith. Yes, there be plotholes bigger than a Borg cube, and I too winced when Picard mowed down his own crew taken over by the Borg. But then there's Lily! That scene with her "you broke your toys" is classic. And I was entertained :-) ( )
