This book reminded me to push my percieved limits everyday, and not to let gender roles hold me back. I was very inspired by Lynn and I will read this book again I'm sure! ( ) Lynn Hill is not only one of the best female free climbers of all time, she is one of the best, period. This is an interesting, engaging, nicely written memoir of her life and career. She speaks of her unusual life, fascinating friends, and amazing adventures without boasting or false modesty (well, too much false modesty). I found her story very inspiring. What an athlete; what a career. Her life on the rock has had her showing up the best boy climbers all over the world with her gymnastic ability allowing her to float over blank rock that taller, burlier dudes have to ascend with lunges and grunts. Greg Childs' (another amazing climber) ghost writing job is workman like but then climbing literature is seldom worthwhile from a perspective of pure wordcraft.
