I love the title of this book "Roots". This book has poems about land, water, people's lives, everyday living things, etc. The poems are easy for children to understand, which is why I would recommend this book for all ages. I do not like poems that much because I do not understand them easliy. But, I found these poems easy to understand, making it interesting. ( )

This grouping of poems is all about the earth and its elements. They are derived from the author's personal experience and I really get the personal feeling from them. I love the poems about weather and would be a great book to use in the classroom.

This is a carefully armed collection of beautiful poems, harmoniously illustrated with pastel colors. However, I wonder how able the infantile reader would be while going through the syntax of the poems. This seems to be a collection for K12 readers.
