Julia Quinn 'Grace Burrowes is a romance treasure' Tessa Dare A duke meets his match in the last place he'd ever expect in this charming Regency romance by the New York Times bestselling author of My One and Only Duke. Wrexham, Duke of Elsmore, is overrun by family obligations. 3.5 stars

Still enjoyable, but there was a little more angst in this one than I usually go for. I loved Rex and Ellie, but the protestations of how it could never work went on for ages and the actual falling in love, at least on Ellie‘s part, seemed to have happened off-camera. The Wentworth characters were a delight, and I love that the author always finds a way to slip cats into her stories.
The big reveal with the corruption at the bank was a bit anticlimactic, but I do think the way the perpetrator handled it seemed more plausible than a big dramatic showdown. A lovely, quick read, but not my fave of the series. ( )

Meh, this was slightly below average I thought, but not enough to take it down to 2 stars. I like when the main characters are willing to overcome any hurdle to be together, and this heroine was just so reluctant to even try. She's made to be quite savvy, which I liked, but besides her work she just felt kind of weak. She actually felt more wimpy as the story went along. So it wasn't very satisfying. I liked the hero though, and that the two of them spent a lot of the book together. ( )
