So glad to finally have a copy of this!! The art is so gorgeous, and they did such a good job with it! It cuts pretty fast through some scenes and might be a bit confusing to folks reading for the first time, but as an accompaniment to the novel, it's quite wonderful! Really enjoying the reread! The character designs are lovely, and it's a lot of fun! ( )

I've enjoyed MDZS in multiple formats already (anime, live action, novel) and it still captivates! The graphic novel format adds another layer to a wonderful story.

In gorgeous full color, readers are given more emphasis on, and nuance from, character expressions and can more easily follow the action. The distinction between Mo Xuanyu and Wei Wuxian us immediately vlear from the star: I found it confusing in the Anime and in live action it's the same actor.

The artwork is simply beautiful, with clean lines and detailed shading. The only downside is this format can only give a small segment of the story at a time. Volume 1 only covers the events from Mo Manor to the arrival at the Dancing Fairy. Those who are completely unfamiliar with MDZS will endure a cliffhanger, the rest of us will be left with eager anticipation.

I've already preordered the upcoming volumes and cannot wait to see the romance unfold. ( )
