This book is about the story of a little girl and her photographer father who visit Atlantic City for the summer, and watch the girl on the high-diving horse on the pier while they are there visiting. The little girl dreams of becoming the girl on the horse, and visits the horses and their riders everyday her and her father are in Atlantic City. Finally, the day they are leaving Atlantic City to go back home to Philadelphia, the father allows the little girl to ride the horse off the high-dive with the professional rider. This is a good story, because it uses real elements that make it seem believable, because people really did dive on horses, and the places are real as well.

This historical fiction book tells the story of a young girl in the 1930s who goes to New Jersey with her Papa for the summer. Every day, she and her papa go to see the girl on the high-diving horse jump from the high platform into a pool of water. Her Papa takes photos or Ivy (the girl) with the two girls who ride the high-diving horses. Each day, Ivy goes to the stables and feeds and walks the horses, and hopes she will get to be able to ride on one some day. She gets very sad when she realizes that there are only a few days left before they have to go home to Philadelphia. She goes to see the high-diving horse, and is surprised when the girl lets her sit up on the horse while her papa takes a photo. She then goes up the ramp and gets to jump off the platform on the horse with the girl. Ten years later, when Ivy is eighteen, she becomes the girl on the high-diving horse.

This book is all about horse diving and and how this little girl has a dream to someday be able to dive from her own horse. This book describes her adventure as she goes to these famous horse diving shows and finally gets to dive herself from a horse. It is an example of a historical fiction book.

In this historical fiction book, we are told the story of a little girl named Ivy, who went to atlantic city with her grandfather. He was there to take pictures, while Ivy just hung around the pier. One day, she saw the amazing diving horses. When she first saw the show, she fell in love with it! Every day, she would come down to the pier just to watch the diving horses, and she wanted to be one of them. One day, she got to pet, feed, and groom the horses. The ladies who rode them grew fond of Ivy, and let her come by to do it as often as she wanted. Then one day, Ivy's grandfather said it was time to go back to philedelphia where they lived before. She was so sad. One of the riders decided to let Ivy dive with her off the high-dive. When she did, Ivy was so excited. When she grew up, she went to the pier again and became one of the divers! And that is what she had done from then on. ( )
