I like this book for many reasons. First, I liked that the pictures matched the words on the pages. The illustrations were very clear and appropriate. They enhanced the story so that the readers would get a better sense of what the story was about. Secondly, the characters are believable and well-developed. For a child in first grade, they can learn and relate to the characters. I really liked how at the end of the book, there is a diagram of words and pictures. The events in the book are believable and can provide interest for young children. ( )

Review: A book about Pete and his love to collect things. He goes on a fishing trip but soon discovers that the pants that were made for him have not pockets. He has his uncle hold on to the things he collected and then his mother helps him out to make pockets from the items he found.
