Paul Anderson wakes from a coma having forgotten everything except the firm conviction that he is not Paul Anderson, and that he is inexplicably terrified of the people from Stellar Research, where he is employed. With the help of the woman who saved him from the car accident that nearly killed him and the young man providing in-home medical care, he works to unravel his past and discover his true identity while dodging a skeezy documentary maker as well as his employer. Since this is a science fiction book, I probably should have figured out the twist earlier, but it was still an interesting concept. I thought the characters were fairly three-dimensional, even if some of the cultural diversity felt a bit shoehorned in. I probably won't go out of my way to pick up any more of Bradshaw's books, but this one was a decent diversion. Man wakes up in hospital with no memory of his past life. But his supposed employer, Sir Philip, seems very interested in his recovery. Also, someone from British military intelligence is hanging about. His only acquaintance without an agenda seems to be Sandra, the woman who rescued him from a car accident. Well-told, with sympathetic main characters, interesting folks who get involved in the plot, and plausible-enough science. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
When Paul Anderson awakens in hospital with amnesia after a horrific car crash, there is just one thing he's sure of . . . he is not Paul Anderson. His first terrified thoughts centre on the company he is supposed to have worked for, Stellar Research: for some reason, he doesn't trust Sir Philip Lloyd, the Chairman of Stellar, and feels instinctively that he is in danger. But Paul is a man with no past and no future, and elusive memories of a classified Stellar project are threatening to tear his sanity apart. Only Sandra Murray, the young woman who saved his life, is prepared to believe him. She senses behind Paul's terrified gaze a rare intelligence, and finds herself warming to this desperate and troubled man. But a news-hungry media and a terrible truth just out of his reach are merely the tip of the iceberg . . . Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

Not a profound book in any way, but an excellent romp. ( )
