My daughters and I loved this book. It has adorable pictures and introduces a great dialogue to help young readers develop character and kindness. This book would be perfect for a lesson in developing empathy, encouraging serving others, standing up for what's right, etc. Every family with young children should have this in their library.Help! Through the use of fun, bright pictures; catchy rhymes, and lots of enthusiasm, this book suggests that children should be on the lookout for ways to help others. Anyone, including children are never too young to do a good deed. Children are natural helpers, so directing them to things to do will bring lots of appreciation from the receiver. Assisting can take many forms, and help of any kind will be welcomed, even a small amount. It could be watering plants for an elderly neighbor, carrying something, or welcoming someone into a group. You don't need to be a grown up, or have money to assist others. It really is true, it is more blessed to give than to receive. You will receive joy when you lend a hand. Your child will experience that, too, and it will spur them on to be thoughtful. This five-star book will be enjoyed by children aged four through eight-years-old. Thank you, Worthy Kids for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. Written by Natalee Creech, “Something” is based on Matthew 25, a biblical passage which precedes the story. Kindness and taking action to help others make this a lesson for young children. Illustrations by Pablo Pino are the real winners, portraying humor and 2-fold pages with a lot to see and talk about. Not one I’d purchase but the artwork completely captured me. I really love the message that anyone can do something. Again, Just a wonderful book. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. The book opens with a bible verse from Matthew 25:35-36 about helping your fellow man. With computer drawings combined with the illustrator's talent, subsequent pages depict children helping their neighbors, reaching out in friendship, feeding the birds and more. The author emphasizes that no money or supplies are needed just a willing heart. Delightful!keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
