She was a judgmental bitch who thought being a "parole officer" made her a cop. Trace was a GREAT character and should have walked away. I started skimming about 50%. If you love angst that is barely believable this is for you. The writing is actually good but just so much I hated about the storyline. Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

When Jess Montell meets Trace West at a hockey game, she doesn't know his name or occupation. What she does know is there's an instant attraction that's impossible to ignore-or forget. And forgetting is exactly what she wants to do when she learns he's not just a successful Wall Street suit but the heir to one of New York's biggest Mafia families. The last thing Trace needs is a romantic anything with law enforcement, and parole officer Jess has trouble written all over her. Too bad he likes trouble. Especially when it's a brunette bombshell with attitude and legs for days. She's an absolute spitfire, and he wants to stoke that flame. Trace didn't ask for the Mafia life. Jess doesn't want any part of it. They both know it's safer to stay away, but the temptation is too hard to resist-no matter how great the danger. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

I enjoyed this book. It is a wild intense ride from the beginning to the end. I liked Jess and Trace. While their hands may be tied in society, in their own world they take it slow and make it finally work. There are questions I have. Not about Trace and Jess, but about her parents' past, about Leo and Bear (family friends) and how they fit in and why they lie to Jess. I'm not sure if Bear got what he deserved but Leo definitely did. I also have questions about Trace and his best friend Ashton--what's their history? Why does Ashton do what he does? There are so many story lines to follow here. I just hope the last line of the book is not true (there's more questions on that.)
I look forward to reading the sequel to this book. I hope some answers are given. ( )
