The biography begins with Thomas Edison's childhood and his inquisitive nature. He was interested in the ability of a duck hatching an egg, so he decides to sit on the egg and hatch his own, but this did not work, instead he only broke the egg. He builds a lab at his home but the stink from all the experiments inspired his mother to make him get a job. He sold candy to people on trains and one day saves a railmasters son andwas given a job sending telegraphs. He later built a better telegraph and builds the first power plant to provide electricity for the light bulb.
