Field Manual (FM) 3-36 provides Army doctrine for electronic warfare (EW) planning, preparation, execution, and assessment in support of unified land operations. Users of FM 3-36 must be familiar with unified land operations doctrine established in Army Doctrine Publication (ADP) 3-0 (2011), the operations process established in ADP 5-0 (2012), and EW doctrine described in Joint Publication (JP) 3-13.1 (2012). This manual is not intended to be a major departure from the 2009 version. It aligns Army EW doctrine with ADP 3-0 and addresses numerous administrative and organizational changes since 2009.The principle audience for FM 3-36 is Army commanders and staffs at all echelons. This FM serves as an authoritative reference for personnel who-- Develop doctrine (fundamental principles and tactics, techniques, and procedures), materiel, andforce structure.- Develop institutional and unit training.- Develop standard operating procedures for unit operations.- Plan, prepare, execute, and assess EW.Commanders, staffs, and subordinates ensure their decisions and actions comply with applicable U.S., international, and, in some cases, host-nation laws and regulations. Commanders at all levels ensure their Soldiers operate in accordance with the law of war and the rules of engagement (see FM 27-10). FM 3-36 uses joint terms where applicable. Selected joint and Army terms appear in both the glossary and the text. For definitions shown in the text, the term is italicized and the number of the proponent publication follows the definition. This publication is not the proponent for any Army terms. This publication applies to the Active Army, Army National Guard (ARNG)/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and United States Army Reserve (USAR) unless otherwise stated. The proponent for this publication is the United States Army Combined Arms Center. The preparing agency is the United States Army Electronic Warfare Proponent.… (mehr)
