Delightful approach to growing up and become who we're meant to be. I liked reading it aloud for library story time. Grown-ups always smiled and children enjoyed the simple plot. ( )

'Little Bear's Little Boat" is a great children's story to teach the lesson of passing down necessities to others that you don't need anymore. In the story little bear had a little boat which he stayed in all day. He fished in the boat and took naps in the boat. One day he realized he had got to big for the boat. He couldn't even fit in it. He decided to find a little bear that could use the boat. He asked different animals in the forest if they had seen a little bear and only one of them did. The big bear then found the little bear and pasted the little boat on to him so he could enjoy the boat. The story in my opinion is a metaphor for passing down knowledge that doesn't apply to you anymore to the youth. I believe you grow up learn from your mistakes and try tell people that are younger than you your story so they don't make the same mistakes. In this case the little boat is what is being passed down. ( )

Little Bear loves his little boat. He loved to take it on the lake, fish, and take naps in his boat. One day little bear noticed he got so big that he couldn’t fit in the boat anymore. Not knowing what to do, big bear decided to give the boat to a little bear. As he watched the little bear, he could tell he was happy. On the other hand, big bear was happy too! He was building himself a big boat! This could be a problem for any child. So, this is a great book to read to children as they grow. ( )

I really loved this book. It has two great messages. The first is that all "little bears" grow up. That is really important for children to know about because one day it will be them who is growing up. The second message is sharing. In the book when Little Bear becomes Big bear he finds another Little Bear to give his boat to. This is another important message for young learners because sharing really is important. ( )
