Summary: Kathy is extremely excited to see her Aunt Elaine perform her dance from Spain. While waiting in the back of the stage Kathy misses the whole performance. When her aunt comes backstage to find Kathy she tells her that the audience wants more so she takes Kathy out on the stage with her and Kathy is in the spotlight and discovers the magic of Spanish dancing.

Personal Reaction: I think this book is awesome because at the beginning of the book there's a list of all the spanish words that will be used in the story which makes the story just that more enjoyable! The pictures are great and I loved seeing the various shades of spanish speaking people.

Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. I would have the students go through the spanish words with me at the beginning of the book and during the story whenever one of the words come up I would have the class say them aloud.
2. I would try and have my class perform this story at a assembly during Cinco de Mayo and introduce this book to the school for everyone to enjoy! ( )
