Als die Gerichtsmedizinerin Rhona MacLeod das kleine, düstere Apartment betritt, fällt ihr sofort der Geruch auf. Ein Hauch von einem sehr teuren Männerparfüm haftet noch an der Kleidung der Leiche. Das Zweite, was Rhona mit Bestürzung feststellen muss: Der Tote, ein hagerer Junge, ist ihr auffallend ähnlich. Dadurch drängt sich Rhona der Gedanke auf, dass das Opfer ihr eigener Sohn sein könnte, den sie nach der Geburt zur Adoption freigeben musste. Themenbedingt geht es neben Mord auch um Sex. Das Sexualverhalten so ziemlich aller Charktere wird beschrieben. Die dazu gebrauchte sehr bildhafte Sprache fand ich unnötig derb. Dass ich trotzdem weitergelesen habe, ist dem spannenden Kriminalfall zu verdanken. So ganz mein Geschmack war es dadurch aber trotzdem nicht. ( )
