A delightful retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Ruby is a mouse, who is tasked with visiting her grandmother on Beacon Hill. In spite of being warned, she gets tangled up with a lizard and a cat, but thanks to Mrs. Mastiff almost everyone lives happily ever after. ( )

Illustrations not quite to my taste, hard to see sometimes all the details, but the details were special. Some of the story was told solely by pictures, not by text. Cute, and def. worth reading if you're raising a strong girl or a smart child who is not satisfied with the traditional versions of the story. ( )
