Each grew different coins depending on the type of fertilizer that was used, and when the farmer and his wife left for their honeymoon the little boy watching over the farm discovered that by mixing fertilizer you could grow two types of coins. I give this book 5-stars because it is a great way to introduce money to your students. It's a fun book that can be turned into a lesson by having your students make their own money trees. ( ) Once Upon a Dime: A Math Adventure, by Nancy Kelley Allen, is a math picture book about a farmer who discovers a special fertilizer that makes money grow on trees. This tree grows different types of coins and dollar bills and the book shows the connection between the two. I think this would be a great book for younger students who are learning about money. This book would also be a great start for a project where students can make their own money trees. I liked this book because it made learning about money fun. This book is about a farmer who comes across a special fertilizer. This fertilizer makes money grow on trees. Different money starts to grow on this tree and the farmer makes connections to the money growing and the value to his crops. This would be a good book to read aloud to younger elementary students who are about money. This would be a good book when introducing money. First the tree grows different coins and then evolves to bills. It shows the connections between coins and bills, and all that comes with it. I think this is a cute picture book with good representation of money. Students could make their own trees that grow a different amount of money and see how they connect to their classmates trees. Overall, a cute math children's book. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
