This book teaches children about time, different seasons and calendar. It goes into detail about the sun and the moon not actually setting but the earth turning to face the sun and the moon. The book explains why there are seven days in a week and gives information about different time zones.
Personal Response
I found the book to be educational but fun at the same time.
Extension Ideas
1. Make clocks out of construction paper and have the children practice moving the clock hands to a specific time.
2. Take the children outside to look at the sun and ask which direction it will set in. ( )
