As a child, artist and potter Dani Bennett witnessed the brutal murder of her parents. With no memory of the incident or her true identity, she was forced to take on a new name and a new life, hidden away in Montana for the past 25 years. Mae Richmond has spent the same stretch of time searching for her granddaughter, who went missing the night her daughter and son-in-law were murdered. Convinced the woman she saw in a pottery magazine feature is the woman she's been searching for, she enlists the help of K-9 officer Mark Lassiter of Pearl Springs, Tennessee, who tracks Dani down. Skeptical but curious, Dani sets out on a journey to uncover the secrets of her past and reclaim her true identity. But someone close to her is determined to keep the truth of what happened all those years ago hidden.… (mehr)

Great mystery/suspense. Hidden secrets revealed. Beginnings of a romance too! Can’t wait to read more of this author’s books. Thank you to LibraryThing for a complementary copy of the book. ( )

Fatal Witness by Patricia Bradley is the second book in her Pearl River series. At the age of nine Dani Bennett witnessed the murder of her parents, but she has no memory of it. Someone wants to keep it that way. When Dani becomes a target, K-9 Officer Mark Lassiter makes it his mission to keep her safe. This was a very intense, suspense filled story. The characters worked well together and the story flowed smoothly.

I received this book from the publisher for my honest review. ( )

Dani Bennett unfortunately watched in horror as her parents are brudely murdered. I can't even imagine. As if this isn't enough, she has no memory, so no way of knowing who she is. Dani ends up with a new identy, working in Montana, building her new life. In the meantime, May Richmond has been searching for her granddaughter she knows survived the crash. And then the day comes she sees her grandaughter. And the journey begins.

I think Patricia Bradley knocks it out of the park with this book! I love the journey we were taken on as Dani and Mae set out to fund each other. When K-9 officer Mark Lassiter from Pearl Springs, TN. contacted Dani, the whirlwind started happening and Dani was on cloud nine!

I love this book so much. Patricia Bradley writes the most amazing books written with so much mystery and suspense lurking around the corner you will not want to put the book down. With a cast of charters that pull you in and keep you involved in the story, you are sure to be content at one minite and scared silly the next. I love books that keep me so involved in the story and Fatal Witness didn't disappoint. If you love a good clean mystery with lots of thrills, mystery and cause quite a few chills, you have to read this book!! I know you will enjoy it as much as I did. I'm giving this one Five Stars! "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you."

These words from Psalm 56:3 are often quoted in Fatal Witness and author Patricia Bradley couldn't have chosen a better verse for this riveting tale of murder, memory loss, and a killer's efforts to make sure that those lost memories are kept buried forever. There is heart-pounding danger and nail-biting suspense, along with fear and a need for trust! I was fully engaged from the very first pages of Fatal Witness!

If you're looking for an intense thriller that you can't put down, grab a copy of Final Witness. I couldn't wait to learn the truth, but I didn't want it to end! Very deserving of being more than a 5-star read!!

I received a copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. ( )

Fatal Witness, by Patricia Bradley, is the second book in A Pearl River series. This story takes place after the first in the series, with some of the same main characters, so it is best to read them in order. This is a well written, fast paced, Christian romantic suspense story. The story starts out with Dani being represented in a magazine, which leads her grandmother to search for her. It also brings out the person who was responsible for her parents death. This is a great who done it cold case story that is filled with action, suspense and mystery. I found myself unable to put this book down as it told the story of Dani's parents death and how that affected her memory. It was enjoyable to see her get glimpse of her past as she spent time with her childhood friends. I especially enjoyed how her grandmother never gave up hope of finding her and her dedicated search.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review. ( )
