It makes the way of thinking of islamic people clearer and has delivered the message that there's not one Islam, but many.
I'm trying to pair the message of one of the characters in this book, that Islam is tolerant & peaceful and the things we hear here and see on TV. It's difficult.
About the book itself: lots of talk about sex, romance, punishment for sex outside of marriage or homosexuality, as if that's the most important thing in the world. Too me it was a bit too much. But.... Maybe these things were VERY important for young people (mostly men), in a country like Egypt in that period of time. ( )
