A very good bible for contemplation and for getting a grip on what the hell the whole thing is about. There are introductions to each book that give a sense of what that book encompasses, there are devotional readings, and there are contemplations of different women from the biblical stories. Good stuff. ( )
Devotional reading on women in the Bible carries Imiprimateur and Nihil Obstat. Bible itself does not, neutral gender language, which is why Iove this Bible. I do not see any alteration in meanings and the neutral gender changes are so sublte it isn't noticed. ( )
