"The Dragon Storm: Abracadabra" by Anthony DiPaolo is a supernatural thriller that follows Alexander Storm and his team on a journey to combat an ancient and magical force that threatens the fabric of existence.
This is the first book from this author that i have read, and the author did a great job of connecting the characters and the previous story lines together, so i was able to follow with ease, as a new reader.
Theres plenty of supernatural action in this novel as well as archaeological elements, which brought the past and the present together in an enthralling fight against evil.
The characters, particularly Alexander Storm, are well-crafted. There were plenty of plot twists that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique and the cliffhanger ending left me feeling eager for more, and anticipating the next installment in the series. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much.
It’s a well-written supernatural thriller with perfect pacing. I would definitely recommend this novel to fans of Supernatural thrillers. ( )

Dragon Storm: Abracadabra by Anthony DiPaolo is an enthralling continuation of The Dragon Storm series. Alexander Storm and his team are plunged into a world of ancient ruins, mysterious caves, and rugged landscapes, in this globe trotting expedition.
Theres a good blend of the supernatural, archaeology and mythology elements that created more to the journey. The third-person all-seeing narrative style, effectively built up suspense and kept me totally engaged with the fate of the characters, which I loved! especially the relationships between Storm, Serket, Kate, and Frank, all well crafted and portrayed quite realistically.
The cliffhanger ending totally left me eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. Dragon Storm: Abracadabra is a definate must-read in my opinion and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to fans of fantasy-thrillers and supernatural-suspense. It's a well-rounded book that combines action, character development, and a richly woven plot. ( )

The Dragon Storm: ABRACADABRA by Anthony DiPaolo is the second book in The Dragon Storm series. It is shorter in pages, as it is the first part. Still, nevertheless, the strings that pull the reader’s attention are there from the first pages as Alexander Storm witnesses a magic representation that is not all smoke and wires, as the creatures summoned are too lively for mere illusions and the words spoken are more powerful than simple words. In this universe created by DiPaolo, where supernatural, demons, myths, and legends entangle, the adventure begins as Alexander and his friends find themselves in another “battle against the evil” type of situation. What I liked about this book, besides the well-written and fast-paced story, is that, with each illustration added along the way, the author managed to create a more vivid and authentic type of world in this piece of work. Also, I like it when authors offer different perspectives on the story. ( )

So, I just finished Anthony DiPaolo's "The Dragon Storm: Abracadabra," and let me tell you, it's like riding a dragon through a storm of emotions and ancient mysteries. Imagine Indiana Jones but with more dragons and less fear of snakes.
First off, the characters. We have Alexander Storm, who's as relentless as a cat chasing a laser pointer, and Asar, his teammate, who’s got the brains but sometimes seems as oblivious as a dog in a squirrel park. Their dynamic is the stuff of legends, or at least a really good buddy movie.
The plot is like a rollercoaster designed by a history buff with a penchant for supernatural thrills. It whisks you from the ruins of Solomon to the caves of Qumran, and then, just for kicks, over to the Mediterranean mountains and India. It's like a world tour with a side of impending doom.
DiPaolo's writing style is a mix of detail and action, sort of like if a history book and a comic book had a baby. And the illustrations? They’re the cherry on top. It’s like they knew you’d need a visual aid for this whirlwind adventure.
But let's talk about the cliffhanger ending. It's like waiting for your waiter to bring dessert, but the restaurant is also on fire, and you're not sure if you’ll get your chocolate lava cake or just...lava.
In conclusion, "The Dragon Storm: Abracadabra" is for those who love their archaeology with a side of supernatural, their action with a hint of humor, and their characters as lovable as they are frustrating. It's a wild ride, and I'm strapping in for the next one. ( )

This is the second book in the series and the second book I've read by DiPaolo. As with the first book, it's written well and very creative. It is significantly shorter than the first, though. The first book had a wealth of research and care put into the character's personalities, and this book is no different. I was thrilled to see some characters return, but I was even more excited to see where everyone ended up.

I don't know how DiPaolo managed it, but the stakes feel raised as Alexander stumbles into demonic sigils and pursues magic so old that it feels impossible to overcome due to the sheer scale and age of it. Overall, this is written well. I was excited to dive back into the series and see what DiPaolo came up with, and this did not disappoint. ( )
