This is such a bloody brilliant book. More than just a compendium of the best of the two finest independent media outlets that Britain has to offer (think of the Independent Media Centers that have sprung up here, and you'll be getting the idea), this is a shining example of the real alternative media in action. A mixture of the UK's direct action reports, along with an indepth (often hilariously witty) analysis of the issues that count. From pulling up GM crops, to confronting capitalism in the City Of London, to dodging rubber bullets in Seattle, and pushing the frontline of DIY culture, these guys were there, participating, and recording it all...with writing, cartoons, satirical grafix, and subverts...not to mention the quality photography, and the huge comprehensive database of grassroots organisations, campaign groups and websites. You really, really, ought to pick this up. Inspiring, and damn informative.
