First of all I would like to give the author credit for writing this book. I enjoyed the description and my favorite part was the Goblins in the hall of mirrors. It was really funny because they thought the mirrors were actually real people- or should I say goblins? They were all dressed up in odd looking costumes and looking quite hideous were scared of themselves. I would recommend this book to people who like funny but suspenseful books. ( )

Yr 8 English Book Review. Janeece Henderson 8C

The book I will be reviewing is Kylie the Carnival Fairy by Daisy Meadows.

Kylie the Carnival Fairy is Non-Fiction book.

My name is Janeece Henderson and I’m in 8C, I’ve decided to do my review on Kylie the Carnival Fairy by Daisy Meadows. This book is Non-Fiction.

The story takes place at the Sunny-days Carnival in Wetherbury with the main characters being Kirsty, Rachael, Kylie, Jack Frost and his goblins.

The story begins when Kirsty and Rachael go to the Sunny-days carnival and find out that Jack Frost and his goblins are trying to steal the three hats that keep the carnivals rides and entertainment going perfectly (with-out the hats the carnival will be a disaster) so Kylie the Carnival Fairy comes to the rescue and needs Kirsty and Rachael’s help to get the hats back. After hours of chasing them they finally get the hats back and the carnival turns back to being normal.

1. I didn’t really learn much from this book because it’s about fairies and there’s no such thing as fairies.
2. I liked when they chased the goblins because there was a lot of action in that part of the book.
3. I like the whole story so there wasn’t really a part of the book that I didn’t like at all.
4. Well I guess I sort of wondered if there really were fairies living in our universe.
5. I wouldn’t recommend this book to a particular age because it’s an okay book but I don’t think girls my age would read it, I only read it because I’ve had this book for ages and it’s my favourite book.
