This cleverly written children's tale is based on 'The Big, Bad Wolf' and the world's perception of him. He goes from place to place trying to show other animals that he really is indeed good. It is a sweet story that could be used as a base for talking about getting to know others before making unkind judgements about them. ( )

I like this book for two reasons. First, I like the plot of the story. It is a continuation of The Three Little Pig’s character, Big Bad Wolf. It is a humorous spin off of The Three Little Pigs. The Big Bad Wolf is lonely and has no friends. He decides to be nice so that the other animals will be friends with him. He goes to the geese, chickens, and ducks, but they all reject his help. For example, the ducklings in the story chant, “Big Bad Wolf, stay away and DON’T come back another day!” It was interesting to read a story about the wolf and his perspectives. Second, I liked the message of the story. The big idea of this book is that people can change. This is shown when Big Bad Wolf tries to be good and useful and does noble deeds, but everyone still thinks he is the Big Bad Wolf. They find out that he is a good wolf when he returns the lost duckling to the Mrs. Duck instead of eating him. It teaches readers that even when you hear bad things about a person, it may not be true and to give others a chance. ( )

this big bad wold is trying to redeem himself to the other woodland creatures. he is tired of being big and bad and alone. when he tries to convince his potential friends that aren't having it. when disaster strikes, he is able to show he has indeed changed and deserves their trust and friendship. this is an aborable book and a lesson on how people can change can be affiliated with this book.

This story is a good example of a fantasy because the characters have human like traits. The big bad wolf and all the animals he comes into contact with can talk and express their feelings.
Point of View: It is vital that this story is told in third person because it really shows not only how the wolf is feeling but also how the other animals feel toward him. The third person is limited because we are mainly in tune with how the wolf is feeling but that's okay because those are the feelings that are most necessary for the reader to know and be concerned with.
Art Media: Sponge paint, watercolor, acrylics.
