A Scarred Hearts Novel #5

Begins with a bang that left an impact on Morgan, grabbed my attention, and set the stage for the beginning of an intense, thought-provoking romantic suspense-filled novel that I could not put down.

What I liked:
* Zero: computer hacker, tech genius, avoids people, helps others, works to find human traffickers and put them out of business, wealthy, handsome, and has issues from a difficult backstory – really liked him
* Morgan: wealthy, works as a waitress, has PTSD and anxiety after the murder that happened in front of her, strong, resilient, attracted to Zero, really grew to like her
* Cary: loving brother, friendly, fun, caring, protective, big presence and integral to the story
* Watching the relationship develop between Zero and Morgan and feeling that they were well suited to one another
* Elvis: homeless young man given a job and a chance by Zero
* Getting to see Griffin and Cora from the previous book
* The plot, pacing, writing, and that all the threads were brought together at the end of the story
* The positive upbeat happy ending
* Knowing there will be another book to read in this series…soon

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to
* Knowing that human trafficking is real and happens all too often in this world and that survivors are scarred in more ways than one

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely
