Pairing an educational and engaging text with lovely watercolor illustrations, Crinkleroot's Guide to Knowing Butterflies and Moths is the tenth book featuring this eponymous guide to the natural world that I have read (the eleventh, if one considers that I read both Crinkleroot's Book of Animal Tracks and Wildlife Signs and Crinkleroot's Book of Animal Tracking, which are different editions of the same book), and like its predecessors, I found it charming. I appreciate the information being presented, the way in which that information is presented and formatted, and the beautiful artwork that accompanies and augments that information. My only regret, with these books, is that I did not encounter them when I was a girl! Recommended to all young butterfly and moth lovers, and to fans of Crinkleroot. ( )
