Mudras
Yoga in Your Hands
A simple technique to achieve lasting health,
Happiness, an inner peace
By Gertrud Hirschi

This 223 page how-to just rocked my world. I learned so much. I always thought that a mudra was just when you put your thumb and finger together, but boy was I wrong. There are many types of mudras for many different purposes, including healing relationships.

This book has it all, it shows illustrations of the different mudras and even an interesting section on palmistry and what finger and area means what. I would recommend this much needed big fella to anyone wanting to do meditation with their hands and a whole lot more. Thanks Gertrud, This teacher of yours will help many.

Love & Light,

Riki Frahmann ( )

Gives a nice background on how to use mudras and a good selection for the beginning user. Sometimes the picture and the description don't match or appear to be contradictory. However, in general this book gets it done. ( )

Mudras - also called `finger power points' - are special healing gestures made with the hands and fingers. In this book you will learn how you can apply them to prevent illness and support the healing of a great variety of physical and emotional problems. You also discover how to use mudras to promote your spiritual development, and how you can intensify their effects with breathing exercises, affirmations, visualizations, herbs, nutrition, music and colour.

Excellent assortment of hand positions (mudras) with their health benefits, but it would have been nice to list the benefits along with the name of the mudra. Sometimes, I wasn't really sure what the mudra was helpful with until half-way through the description. ( )
