The Stephen Elliott story was good, though. ( ) I'm not going to lie. The only reason I bought this book was because the intro was by Sufjan Steven ... you know, of "Come On, Feel the Illinois" fame. Anyway, it was a great read, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the story/graphic novel by Alison Bechtel, a Lock Haven native, and another story by Conan O'Brien. A lot of the authors were new to me, but I'd definitely read more of their works. I'm not going to lie. Inside are excerpts, snippets and essays of all kinds, long and short. I remember loving the section on Best Six-Word Memoirs, which is more ingenious and less gimmicky than you'd think, and I'll never forget this is where I first heard about Alison Bechdel's brilliant masterpiece, Fun Home. I recommend it. Heck, I'll even recommend the rest of the series, sight unseen. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
