Filled with useful information. I love the way the book is set up. There are photos, it gives you week-by-week updates, but it doesn't' push a specific agenda. ( )

By far my favorite book on pregnancy, it has served as my absolute go to guide on prenatal care and the only one I would classify as this-won't-pissoff- your-inner-scientist. This book has a non "goofy" tone, and, especially regarding pre natal testing, is highly factual - for instance it actually gives you the sensitivity and specificity of transnuchal screening. These portions are made particularly enjoyable through the use of excellent colour photographs throughout the book. Originally made for a British audience, but re written with details for the American audience, there are a few things that don't transfer too well, especially, strangely, the comments on fathers. None the less, an excellent book. ( )
