This is a terrific book for anyone wanting to get started in wire-wrapping. There is lots of information about supplies, and also step-by-step tutorials for doing some of the basic design elements (something most other books on the subject that I've read seem to neglect to include). There aren't as many projects here as in some other books, but the tutorials make up for that. I wouldn't mind owning a copy of this. ( ) A bit too basic for me at this stage, although I did like the world's strongest clasp design and have used it a couple of times for my heavier pieces. The pen drawings of techniques are a bit dated and the instrucitons seem needlessly wordy; I have to read them several times before I can perform the technique described. A beginner with good visualization skills will probably be a good fit for this book. Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

The step-by-step techniques featured in this richly illustrated book take the beginner who knows little about wirework on a journey to creating artistic and unique free-form jewelry. Using round wire that is readily available and economically viable, wireworkers learn everything from how to hold pliers to how to make ear wires, hook-and-eye closures, and cages for marbles and cabochons. Line drawings, photographs of finished objects, and a wirework gallery of pieces by the author and other contemporary wirework artists provide sample creations and ideas for the innovative wireworker.
