Babylon is the protagonist and she is from Boston, but she has big city dreams. Her favorite magazine, Orange, is hosting a new program called readers run amok. Reader's run amok is a program where five girls get to be an editor for a section at Orange for the whole summer. One lucky girl will get an article in orange for the following year, but will Babylon's boy problems and rude roommates ruin her opportunities?
Orange Is The New Pink, by Nina Malkin was a pretty good book. The author’s vivid language and changing scenery kept me reading the book. The author also related to most girls, which is probably another reason i kept on reading. Unfortunately this book had long sections, where it dragged on. I found the book hard to read at times, losing my interest. Another reason I didn’t really care for this book was because many things were happening at once, sometimes confusing me.
I still enjoyed Nina Malkin's book and i would suggest it to teenage girls and younger girls. If you want an okay quick read, this is the book for you, but if you would like a great book, this wouldn’t be my first choice. ( )
