This is a good book, because it takes the reader deep through understanding space, aspects of history in regards to space discoveries, our solar system, what an astronomer does, and what scientists do in regards to understanding space. This book could be used in multiple lessons teaching about space and the solar system. This book could also be used to teach students about the historical background of space and our solar system (from a scientific viewpoint), and the discoveries that have been made.

Just too simplified to be suitable for an adult, at least as an audio book.

This book is mainly about why Pluto is no longer considered a planet. I like that the author included a chapter called "What is a Planet?" The chapter basically described what makes a planet a planet. The author also described the discovery of Eris in the, so this would be good to share to explain to them that it is no longer a planet. This book would also be a good introduction to the dwarf planets. The glossary and "Additional Reading" page provide additional information and the index would be helpful for children when it comes to doing projects or reports. ( )

This was a interesting and informative book that explains why all of the sudden, Pluto was not considered a planet anymore. While explaining the reasoning behind this change, the book also gives information about how space discoveries were made in history. This book would be best used for children grades 5 and above because of the amount of text/information on each page. ( )

Review: This book is informational because it provides factual information about planets. It contains information about how planets are formed, what they are made of, what criteria make up a planet and why Pluto does not fit those criteria. Some pieces of information are theory because scientists have not yet formed concrete facts for some aspects.
Character: None
Use: science lesson, informational writing lesson ( )
