Interesting story of Hudson Ambrose, a reporter for the local Las Vegas, NV newspaper. Follow Hudson as he digs himself a large hole when he decides not to report the finding of a dead homeless man on the street. It turns out the homeless man is much more important and has more questions than Hudson could imagine. Lots of lessons in this story... ethics, religion, and the treatment of the homeless. NCLA Review -Hudson Ambrose is a reporter who hears of a murder on his police scanner. He goes to the scene only to find no police around. He waits but no one comes. Finally he can't stand it any more and searches the body. He finds this dead homeless man to have a bank book with a balance of almost a million dollars. He hears the police coming and leaves. Ambrose goes to the bank with a key he had also found. Here he finds cash and newspaper clippings. He takes the clippings to see if he can learn more about the man. When he inquires about the body at the coroner’s office, he's told no body fitting his description came through. He returns to the crime scene and finds no trace of any crime. So who is this homeless man and where is his body? This book has many twists. It’s a story about servanthood and trying to be bigger than God. Rating: 3 —NP Reporter Hudson Ambrose is the first on the scene of a murder--of a man who looks to be homeless. But Hudson discovers a bankbook and key that indicate the man was really a millionaire. Why would a man who had so much money be out on the street? As Hudson investigates he finds some surprising answers--and some new friends. This was a good solid suspense story, it also deals with the issue of how we treat the homeless. An enjoyable and uplifiting read. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
