In this Bob Graham book, we follow the adventures of friends Henry and Charlotte. Henry is cautious and worries about everything where Charlotte is carefree and wild. Charlotte rolls down the hill in a tire and tumbles right into the bushes. Henry tends to Charlotte's wounded leg and gives her the shirt off his back. Charlotte thanks Henry for being such a nice friend. Next, Henry and Charlotte play jump rope and Charlotte's glasses fall off and break so again Henry saves the day and they continue to play. Henry goes on to save Charlotte's dolls as well. Henry's favorite dog has lost all it's stuffing so Charlotte has an idea besides it's her turn to help Henry and uses materials to fix up his favorite toy dog. Lastly, Charlotte clumsily dances for Henry and it is the perfect dance! This Bob Graham book is about friendship and learning to share the good times and the bad! ( )

Charlotte and Henry are best friends. They both have two different personalities though.Charlotte is carefree and Henry is a worry wart. Different short stories show how the two look after each other when doing different activities. I would read this to my students when discussing friendships and team work. ( )

The Adventures of Charlotte and Henry is a chapter book-like comic strip about the adventures of two very opposite, best friends. Charlotte has some crazy ideas and is always getting in trouble, while Henry is very laid back and cautious.

This book would be good for about 1/2 grade to 4th. It's very relatable and an easy read and would also be a great introduction to chapter books. It also shows children that although we are all a little bit different, we can still be friends and get along. Charlottes antics also are guaranteed to make the students laugh. ( )
