Great book for teaching students about the library and how to check out a book! ( ) To check out a book she loves from the library, D.W. first has to learn to write out her full name: Dora Winifred Read. After many failed attempts she finally figures it out and gets to check out the book after waiting a whole week for it! The book about frogs is very old and the twins told her if she hurt the book they'd take away her new library card forever. I know exactly how D.W. felt about hurting a book. I cried for days the first (and only) time I tore a page. Luckily, Arthur came along and read it aloud for her and she never did hurt the book. DW has always wanted to get a library card, after being tormented for years of watching her brother Arthur checking out library books she is finally old enough to check out a book of her own. After all the hard work she puts into writing her name, she finally gets a library card however her book is not available for another week. DW then goes the distance to protect her borrowed book. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
