This is a story about a family traveling to Africa. Th little boy finds a dinosaur. The illustrations really show what they family is seeing on their vacation with the fun add in of playing with the dinosaur. There are pictures of the pyramids and beaches. They decided to bring Bob, the dinosaur back home with them. The illustrations do a great job in showing the size comparisons of Bob the dinosaur and the different objects like the statue of liberty, and a train. While this story is fiction, the size scales can show how big dinosaurs used to be. This is fun story about the adventure of a family and their dinosaur. The illustrations are age appropriate and really bring the story to life.

This book is so cute! I loved reading how the Lazardo family brought a DINOSAUR back home from their vacation. It is such a cute read for children! ( )

A family goes on crazy vacations and on this one to Africa, they bring back a dinosaur. The story involves baseball a lot. The members of this family are big fans of baseball as is the neighborhood. There is a antagonist in this story who is envious of the family's spectacular souvenirs and gets them in trouble. Eventually, the family brings the dinosaur back and it's a happy ending as he scores the final homerun for the baseball team. The illustrations are great as usual. This wasn't my favorite William Joyce book, but it was still cute and entertaining. ( )

I guess I've not the right spirit for this - it just didn't make me either dream or giggle. Sorry. ( )
