Several I had read before but I read them again and this time I appreciated "The Blue Cross" by Chesterton and O'Connor's "A Good Man is Hard to Find" much more. When I first read them I hated them. A rereading and time has helped me understand them in a different light. Some of the authors are famous and others are new to me but the entire collection makes you think and I see the creation-fall-redemption worldview in each. I also love the cover which is what really drew me to this book. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

"There is something beautiful and moving about holding in one's hand a narrative, gem-like and perfect, that can be read in one sitting, opening its world before you and revealing its secrets in a small pocket of time that allows you to go somewhere else and know something new." --Bret Lott Eyes to See is a collection of short stories by masters of the craft. Gathered together by best-selling author Bret Lott, each tale combines an extraordinary story told in the distinctive voice of its universally acclaimed author. From the unforgettable characters to the surprise plot twists to their beautifully rendered settings, each tale is a stand-alone story worth savoring. And yet for those with "eyes to see," there is a deeper level of story and art that connects each tale to something timeless--a shared Christian worldview of life, love, and loss this side of eternity. From such classic writers as G.K. Chesterton, Flannery O'Connor, and Fyodor Dostoevsky to newer voices like Larry Woiwode and Helen Norris, Eyes to See is a diverse and rich offering that will open your eyes to the best in classic and contemporary fiction.
