Personally, I have gone to class in my elementary days without my Valentine's day cards for my classmates! Oh, the humanity. I remember the embarrassment I felt and love I received despite my early mistake. This book provides a humorous and interesting take on a common elementary age issue. I do not know if Valentine's day card making is part of modern curriculum but the exercise proves useful in promoting unity, friendship and holiday activity. This book is a simple reminder in the lesson of friendship. A great addition for the classroom.

Squirrel and Mole are best friend, and both of them are forgetful creature. it's valentine's day and squirrel forget until he receive a love from mole with the intention to share cake with him. Squirrel feel bad and try to make something special for Mole. However, because of his forgetfullness, he forget where he put his scissors to make a special card for Mole.
